Pizza & Beer

Hi everyone! :)

Happy 4th of July!

It has been a b-e-a-utiful weekend here in Chicago.

I have been spending it studying, catching up on some sleep, and getting in some quality time with my main man before I go into bar exam studying hibernation for the next 3 weeks.

After my longggggg day on Friday (6 hour-long practice test), I had only one thing on my mind when I got home.

Well, make that 2...

Pizza!! 



& Beer. 



Amen! 

We ordered pizza from Pizano's Pizza in Glenview.

Justin has been raving about this place because his work gets it for lunches all the time, and let me tell you, he was not kidding.  

This stuff is seriously good.  For those of you familiar with Chicago pizza, Pizano's thin crust pizza has a Lou Manati's-like butter crust, and everything else about it is perfection.  

Oprah did name Pizano's for her favorite thin crust pizza in Chicago, and I'm pretty sure she hasn't been wrong since...well...I'm not sure she's really ever been wrong. 

After enjoying some well-deserved grease & bubbles, I woke up Saturday knowing the only way to crack the case of the beer belly I magically developed over night (really, how does that happen?) was to kick my own butt @ the gym. 

I picked myself up outa my sweat pants and into my gym clothes faster than you can say bikini, and  headed to the gym to knock out this new treadmill set, appropriately titled the "Pizza & Beer Set":

This set is no joke, but desperate times call for desperate measures, right?!

I was a sweaty mess by the time I was done, cured all feelings of ick and ready for a cold shower to slip right into my 4th of July sundress for a night at the Arlington Park race track with my favorite boy.


No money was won, but good times were had...

Including the hands-down best fireworks show I have ever seen!


{One of those incredible shows where you think it's going to be over 5 times before it actually is.}
